Poetry and Spoken Word

Poetry uses creative language and rhythm to express our deepest feelings, and spoken word brings these emotions to life through powerful performances, we use both to connect people and build a stronger, more understanding community together.

Arts and Crafts

Arts and crafts are great for both the elderly and youth—we use art to spark creativity, boost fine motor skills, and offer a fun way for people to express themselves, while also creating chances for different generations to connect and share experiences.

Theatre and Performance

Theatre and performance bring stories to life on stage through acting and movement. We use this to help to build community by connecting people through shared experiences, celebrating heritage, and highlighting working-class voices.

Events

Creative events like open mic nights and creative laboratories offer working-class communities the chance to share their talent, explore new ideas, and have fun. These gatherings bring together artists, poets, rappers, and musicians to showcase their work and connect, ensuring everyone has access to the same opportunities for creative expression and networking.

ACT TO GROW attended our Penny-Fest event and were brilliant with the children, engaging them in fun, decorative crafts. We look forward to seeing the good work ACT to Grow will do in the future.
